Kylie and Ricky Brackfield
In August 2005 we relocated from Wellington to Rotorua to purchase Rotorua Drycleaners in Pukuatua street. At the same time, the Apparelmaster licence for Rotorua was purchased.
The expansion into the Apparelmaster system of garment rental, towel and mat hire significantly changed the face of Rotorua Drycleaners forever.
In 2008, the expanding business bought a Rotorua laundry from receivership. This second location gave the business the much-needed room to expand.
2012 saw both operations merge and move our current site at 15 Sunset Road – at this point in time, the Linenmaster brand was born and implemented as part of this move.
We have recently created the overarching brand THE Laundry Masters and Rotorua Drycleaners, Apparelmaster and Linenmaster sit proudly underneath.
Every day there is a buzz of forward thinking and platform for our laundry to develop a progressive and creative approach to finding tomorrows solutions for both our team and our customers.
Amazing people striving to build delightful products
Since our inception in 2005 there has never been a more exciting time to be in business. Our team is surrounded by an abundance of possibilities and growth opportunities that our community provides us with. Rotorua is a great city and we are proud to have cemented a strong and successful business here. Thank you to all our customers and supporters who have enabled us to grow and thrive in our local economy.
We are a third generation family owned business we’ve built a reputation based on quality, service and value. These are values that we hold dear today, as did Kylie’s Grandparents, Mr J G and Mrs J M Craig when they established the family’s first drycleaning shop in 1957. We have a vast amount of knowledge and expertise that can only be gained from years of industry knowledge.
We are proud to have become partners with Rotorua Hospice taking care of all their laundry requirement free of charge.
We are an organisation seeking to remove barriers to people with disabilities in our Community. For the past three years we have supported St Chads by providing work experience in our laundry for their clients. Most of St Chads clients have Down Syndrome and this work experience is an opportunity them to mix and mingle in a safe and supportive work place environment and feel a part of a team.
Ronald McDonald House
This retreat house in Rotorua provides families who have experienced the impact of a chronic/long term illness or bereavement in their family to have a free holiday in a peaceful lakeside setting. We have partnered with this amazing organization, providing the linen, sheets, pillow cases and toweling free of charge. Ricky and Kylie also are on the greeting team, meeting the families and making sure they are comfortable throughout their stay. Seeing the joy these deserving families get out of their stay is truly rewarding and very humbling.
Life Education is the largest, community owned and funded, health education programme in New Zealand. It is a pleasure to partner with Life Education at a local level, as well as at a national level through our Apparelmaster network who are major national sponsors.
